White Versus sparkling Yellow Teeth

Everyone likes to show white teeth while he/she smiles. In fact, “white teeth” is a misnomer. Everyone should wish for “sparkling teeth”. The whiteness of teeth appears because of color contrast between color of oral soft tissues/skin and the teeth. A tooth itself is light yellow to dark yellow (brown) owing to dentin (a layer of tooth tissue under its enamel) color. On the contrary, the sparkling teeth, are spotless and reflect light like a crystal. No matter the teeth are white or yellow, an onlooker will acknowledge and appreciate if they are sparkling.
